Communication
Our Parent Teacher Groups provide an opportunity for parental views and involvement. These are the school's chosen forum for communication and its version of a PTA. Each year group has a number of parent representatives who work closely with House Leaders.
The school believes firmly in partnership with parents. Students will often be present at interviews but the school reserves the right to decide as appropriate. If difficulties ever occur, the school expects all adults to set a good example of how to resolve conflicts. The Home-School Agreement is a vital document and it is expected that it is adhered to. The Parent Planner provides an opportunity for parents to tell the school what they are pleased with and what they would want to see improved.
Parents are welcome to see staff at any time by appointment. We encourage close contact and co-operation. Parents would normally see a teacher, a Subject Leader, Assistant Headteacher/House Leader, Deputy Head in that order before the school's Associate Head or Head. We report academic performance half-termly and provide an opportunity to meet students' individual subject teachers.
Each term we provide parents with a copy of What's going on @ Holland Park. This is a celebration of all that is happening at Holland Park involving our students. Each week students receive a Student Bulletin. We provide every parent with a comprehensive Parent Planner, or you can download it here.
