We live in a multilingual world where languages are becoming increasingly important as we grow closer than ever to other countries and cultures. By having advanced language skills you carry more status in the career market and can enjoy higher salaries and prospects. Both Spanish and French at advanced level focus on the key skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking. We study a range of relevant and interesting topics that affect everyone. These include; social and cultural relationships, government and politics, the working world, education, sport and the environment. We spend a significant time focusing on Francophone and Hispanic countries so that you have an in-depth understanding of the linguistic as well as the cultural and social differences between these countries. A wide range of enrichment activities exists that assists in placing language learning into a real context.

This may be a valuable course for you if you are interested in reading any of the following at University:
Linguistics, Travel Management, International Politics, International Communications.
 
Entry Requirements:

  • GCSE French – A*/A
  • or GCSE Spanish – A*/A
