Teacher Training Event Draws Hundreds
The week-long school experience week led by Amy Chapman has seen hundreds of prospective teachers take to classrooms this week in pursuit of the skills and talents that make the finest teachers. These open events, part of the school's work as a DfE designated Teaching School, have seen enthusiastic newcomers to the profession meet students, teachers and leaders and undertake training in professional values, safegurding, behaviour management, rote learning and inspiring and creative lesson ideas. The five day programme inducted delegates into the excitement of teaching as a career and equipped them with some starting ideas to set out on a programme to train to teach. For those keen to pursue further or similar activity with us, it is possible to sign up for November's School Experience on our website under Vacancies>School Experience Placements.
