Remember me, remember me, but ah! forget my fate. Last term, our MFL students were fortunate to attend a talk by Dr Emily Pillinger from King’s College London on Queen Dido from Roman mythology. Her presentation explored Dido’s Lament, a poem about the Trojan warrior Aeneas and his betrayal of Dido. In a session led by @lifeatkings healthcare masters students, our students participated in live demonstrations showing how the heart operates using simple materials like water bottles and balloons. The afternoon highlighted how complex medical concepts can be effectively communicated to the public through accessible models.
