Photography is defined as the practice of producing images using light-sensitive materials such as photographic film, or digital methods of development and production to create static or moving images.
Photography is an increasingly popular GCSE choice. It encourages the exploration of photography as an artistic medium. It combines well with both more traditional subjects, providing an outlet for creativity.
For further information about the course studied, see page 32 to 33 of the Options Booklet.
Photography is also available at A level either as part of the Art A level or as a stand alone subject.
