Pupil Premium

At Holland Park School, our ambition is that every pupil leaves us with the qualifications, confidence and character to succeed in the next stage of their education and beyond. We are determined that students in receipt of the Pupil Premium experience the same high-quality education, enrichment and opportunities as their peers. While national data shows persistent gaps in attainment, attendance and participation, our strategy is designed to accelerate improvement so that these gaps continue to narrow each year at Holland Park.

We are committed to ensuring that every pupil, regardless of background, benefits from excellent teaching, a challenging and well-sequenced curriculum, and carefully targeted academic support. Our systems for identifying need and tracking progress have been strengthened to ensure that interventions are timely, precise and effective, helping pupils to make rapid gains and sustain success.

We believe that pupils flourish when they feel known, valued and fully involved in the life of the school. Our focus is on widening access to enrichment, trips, clubs and leadership opportunities so that all pupils can participate and develop a sense of pride and belonging. We continue to remove barriers, financial, social or otherwise, so that every child can benefit from the full range of experiences Holland Park offers.

We also recognise that academic progress is closely linked to emotional stability and wellbeing. Through the WAVE programme, mentoring, pastoral support and our continuity curriculum, we are strengthening the structures that promote confidence, resilience and self-regulation. This year, we are enhancing early identification and evaluation processes to ensure support is both timely and impactful.

Our Pupil Premium strategy is woven through the whole-school improvement plan. Senior leaders, teachers and governors all share responsibility for improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. By focusing on the quality of teaching, targeted intervention and inclusive enrichment, we are confident that our pupils will leave Holland Park with strong results, a sense of belonging and the skills to flourish in life beyond school.
