The purpose of the History curriculum is to: instill students with a sense of curiosity to explore the past and question the world around them.

Studying History at GCSE level offers students opportunities to develop their thematic understanding of how the world we live in has developed over the last 1000 years. There is a particular focus on democracy – Power and the People; conflict – tensions of the Cold War; and society and culture through America in the 20th century and Elizabethan England.
