Our ambition for everyone means we have high expectations of everyone: staff are committed to helping students and we hold students to high standards in terms of their work, behaviour, attitude, uniform, attendance and punctuality. Where there are barriers to students meeting these expectations, we aim to identify them, understand them, and work with students to overcome them.

- to achieve excellent academic results. We expect students to work hard and reap the rewards of achievement as a result. Teachers aim high for all students and expect students to rise to meet those expectations.
- to grow and develop into confident, mature young adults ready for life in the modern world. We seek to develop young people who are inquisitive, respectful and articulate; who do not merely tolerate difference and diversity but relish and celebrate it.
- to benefit from a range of experiences beyond the classroom. We seek to expose students to opportunities to broaden their horizons and develop skills and competencies beyond the curriculum, through trips, visits, clubs, activities, visiting speakers, and other events.
