'Music Makes Me' at the Royal Albert Hall

On 27th June Holland Park School students were front and center of the world premiere of 'Music Makes Me', a powerful new choral and orchestral piece exploring neurodiversity and identity. Performing alongside 39 other primary and secondary schools, our students' voices and instruments filled the iconic Royal Albert Hall: it was lovely to see many of our students in the audience, too, supporting younger siblings and cousins at local primary schools, and friends at other schools in the community.

This was a huge collaborative team effort and collectively we delivered a powerful message about music being a vehicle for helping us all to process and regulate our emotions. It would not have happened without our students’ enthusiastic contribution to the choral and instrumental ensembles. We are immensely proud of you all and of what we were able to celebrate and achieve together.
