Research
Geography is the study of the earth’s physical and
human environments and the relationships which have formed between
people and the planet. The course contains many relevant topics
including climate change, natural disasters and globalisation. Students
are given an opportunity to learn about the major global issues that are
dominating world news as well as the chance to carry out independent
research into the areas that most interest them. Fieldwork activities in
a variety of locations are an integral part of the course as students
collect primary data for their Geographical Investigations examination.
Students find Geography to be a rewarding experience that prepares them
well for both university courses and mature topical discussions.
