A2 SUCCESS
The summer of 2010 brought excellent results for our A2 students. The pass rate was 100% and 9.4% of grades were the new A*, this exceeded the national average. Students also exceeded the percentage of students achieving A*-A, A*-B and A*-C grades. Valmir Selimi was an outstanding performer gaining 4 A* grades in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, he has gained a place to read Medicine at Queens' College, Cambridge. Zaniab Mahmood acquired two A* grades in RE and Psychology and an A in Media Studies and is going to City University to read Psychology. Morteza Mortezai Nejad achieved an A* in Mathematics and three A grades in Biology, Physics and Persian, he is going to Imperial College London to read Civil Engineering. Florence Dixon achieved four A grades in English, RE, Mathematics and French, she is going to read Theology at Bristol. Jack McSweeney and Harry Letherland both achieved 3 A grades and are destined for the University of Manchester to read English Literature and English Literature & American Studies respectively. They will be joined at the University of Manchester by Bel Powley (Politics and Modern History) and Lola Boothby (Psychology) and Trayton Scott (Computer Science).
